Our Core Values
We are passionately committed to affirming and upholding the God-given worth of each individual we encounter. We believe that the church’s call is to welcome and help people discover their God-given potential through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are committed to treating all people with dignity and respect.
Our History

In 1870 St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized as a mission congregation of the Northern Indiana Synod. Services were first held in the Pastor’s home. In 1871, construction began on a church building on the northwest corner of South Main and State streets.
In 1906, a Sunday school orchestra was organized, heralding a long history of music ministry.

In 1966, St. John’s and Messiah Lutheran in Constantine launched the “Lord of the Lakes” ministry that provided worship services in the Lake area west of Three Rivers.
In 2000, we broke ground for a new church on Buckhorn Road.

In 2001, we moved into our brand new church.
We continue to this day, as a member of the body of Christ, to serve our community and beyond!
